Privacy policy

Eden Match (the "game") is made by Kingdom Games ("we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains what information the game uses, where it is kept and the choices you have. It applies to the Eden Match app for Android and iPhone and to this website.

The short version

  • You do not need an account, an email address or any personal details to play.
  • Your game progress is saved on your own phone.
  • The game shows no adverts and does no tracking. We do not sell or share your information.
  • Eden Match is made for the whole family, including children, and is set up with that in mind.
  • If you write to us, we use your message only to help you.

1. Children and families

Eden Match is played by people of all ages, including children. Because of that:

Please do not type a real name, address, school, email address or phone number into a player name or an animal's name. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question or request about your child, contact us using the details in section 11.

2. Information kept on your phone

To let you keep playing, the game saves your progress on your phone. This includes your levels, stars and scores; your garden restoration, scripture cards and Journal; your Eden Life garden, plants, crops and animal friends; your coins, Golden Seeds, hearts and boosters; the name you play under; and your settings, such as sound, music, vibration and reduced motion.

This information stays on your phone. It is not sent to us. It remains there until you reset it or remove the game. Removing the game, or clearing its data in your phone's settings, deletes it. Your phone's own backup service (for example Google or Apple device backup) may keep a copy under your account with that service, according to its settings.

3. Optional reminders

You can choose to turn on garden reminders, for example when a plant has grown or a daily blessing is ready. They are off until you switch them on and allow notifications on your phone. Reminders are scheduled on your phone by the game itself. No information is sent to a server to deliver them. You can turn them off in the game's settings or in your phone's settings at any time.

4. What we do not collect

The game does not ask for or collect your email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location. It does not use advertising identifiers and does not build a profile of you.

5. The technology the game is built with

Eden Match is made with the Unity game engine. Like other games built with Unity, it may share limited technical information about the device with Unity Technologies, such as the device model, operating system version and graphics capability, to help the engine work well on different devices. This information is not used by us, is not used for advertising, and does not include your game progress or anything you type. You can read about it in Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

6. Online features

The current version of Eden Match does not offer online accounts, cloud backup or friends features. Your garden lives only on your phone, so it cannot be moved to a new phone yet.

We are preparing optional online features. Before any of them is offered, we will update this policy to explain exactly what information they use, who processes it, how long it is kept and how to delete it, and we will make sure they are suitable for the players who can use them.

7. Purchases

If the game offers anything to buy, the purchase is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store using your account with them. We never see or store your card or bank details. The store tells the game which item was bought so it can be delivered. Parents can use the purchase approval controls in Google Play and on Apple devices to manage what children can buy.

8. When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to answer you and to look into the problem. We keep the conversation for as long as we need to help you and to keep a record of what we did, and we delete it when you ask unless we have a good reason to keep it. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail). Please do not send passwords, card details or more information about a child than is needed.

9. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade information about you, and we do not share it with advertisers. The only outside companies involved are Google, which provides our email, and, as described in section 5, Unity. We would disclose information only if the law required us to.

10. Your choices and rights

Because the game keeps your progress on your phone, you are in control of it: you can delete it at any time by removing the game or clearing its data. See how to delete your data for step-by-step instructions.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to complain to a data protection authority. As we hold no information about players except emails they send us, most requests are about those emails. Contact us and we will help. Parents and guardians can ask us to review or delete anything their child has sent us.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the game or the law changes, and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information, we will tell you in the game before the change takes effect and, where the law requires it, ask for permission first.
